BACK TO THE COUNTRY PART THREE

In Dutch theatres and playhalls from january 2014.

The 10th year in theatres with one of the most beautiful types of music: country music.
As in previous years, in this anniversary year, the music was chosen from an almost infinite list of worldwide hits in this genre, covering the period from ± 1940 up to the recent past, with an occasional visit to ‘gold honest’ rock'n ' roll, sung by artists like Buddy Holly.
This is logical, as the first rock 'n' rollers all originated from country & western music.

The performing artists in the show are once again a guarantee for a wonderful evening, presented in a casual atmosphere, but always with passion and unconditional love for this music style.

In 2 sets of 60 minutes you will be confronted with your own youth and the associated memories.
After all, the hits of Johnny Cash, Freddy Fender, Don Williams, Bobby Bare, Kenny Rogers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Buck Owens etc.; they all come along and it will be very difficult for you not to sing along.
By the way, you are invited to do just that ....!

Savannah is part of the absolute top bands in the European country scene.
Vocally and instrumentally unmatchable.
 
In the Netherlands there is no equal to Dick van Altena. Simply an unique artist.
He wrote hits in his own language ('Hey Suzy' by Henk Wijngaard e.g.) and in the English language for many artists.

Cor Sanne singing style goes back to the 1950’s / 1960’s. Everything as traditional and authentic as possible.
His motto is ... country is country when it sounds country...!
He is a ‘walking encyclopedia’ and your host during the show and the anecdotes are entertaining and truthful.
As a business partner, he worked with stars like Johnny Cash, the Everly Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton and many others, and during this co-operation these artists also became personal friends to Cor.

All ‘Back To The Country’ artists perform throughout the year all over Europe, from Latvia to Ireland and from Norway to Malta.

You will be captivated from the beginning to the end. It will be a feast of recognition.
You will be surprised how many songs are still familiar to you, even after 20 or 30 years!
After the theatre show, the artists will be with you for another half an hour in the theatre foyer to celebrate a 'after party' with you. You may also call this a 'sing-a-long' ....!

Thus… a show with a main dish and a dessert ....!
